When it came to camel and grey, I always thought you went with one or the other but never the two together. I first saw the combination in the Hecker Guthrie designed interiors at Polperro Winery on the Yellowtrace website; the dark timber Thonet chairs combined with grey sheep skin rugs melting my previous ideas. More recently, I have seen the combination in Country Road styling for Autumn 2015. In thinking on it, grey and camel are colours found together in nature. A windswept beach on a rainy day; stormy grey clouds and weathered deck timber. The rough texture of driftwood contrasting the softness of an animal fur. Create this cosy winter look at home with light and dark woods, sheepskins and felted objects in shades of tans and greys.
