Friday Finds: 3 Artwork Designs
3 ARTWORK DESIGNS
I spend a fair amount of time researching products for projects. On Fridays, I thought I would share with you a handful of interesting design items I have found during the week in a new category called Friday Finds. This week I am sharing three artwork suppliers/designers that I discovered on a recent trip to Brisbane, in a beautiful store called Showroom.
PANGEA MAPS: My love for drafting and design come together in these gorgeous wooden contour maps from Pangea Maps. Using CAD software and data providers, Pangea creates contour maps of Australia's coastline. White acrylic forms the top layer representing land. Each map is encased in Plexiglass and finished with a white natural frame. Shown here is a map of Sydney Harbour. Other maps available are Brisbane River, Port Phillip Bay and Whitsunday’s.
ERSTWHILE: It took a comment on Instagram about the map of Australia for me to take another look at the posters in this shot. I recognised the map from a trade show I attended last year, and turns out the flamingo is from the same place. You can purchase these posters, and other vintage styles through Erstwhile.
LAMBIE & CO: Delicate nature prints from Lambie and Co.; a sustainable graphic art studio.
