Since we are close to completing this phase, I have been able to finalise the floor plan for the Turramurra project. Plans are one of my favourite parts of the job; from onsite measurements with tape measure and laser measure, to drawing it up in AutoCAD, to researching the Internet for furniture and downloading specs for spatial planning. The client only retained the original coffee table, piano and dining chairs, so we had plenty of furniture to select. Rather that specifying a sectional for this space, we opted for a sofa with ottoman that can be used as a sectional, or moved around if more space is required. The side table tucks in under the ottoman, perfect for afternoon tea. The powder coated legs of the side table in Admiralty green reference the blue/green armchair. We searched a long time for the perfect armchair. It had to be low enough to not block the view to the exterior, simple in design, and above all, comfortable. (If I could squirrel it out to my car and sneak it home, I would!) A bookcase with open shelving makes the most of the only vertical wall space in the living area; selected for its open shelving to allow light to shine through.
Partway through the project, the exterior patio was added to the scope. We are currently working on the interior/exterior connection; just a couple more pots and plants to select.
