I have been stopping and starting this blog post all week, which pretty much sums up how this year has been so far. Stopping and starting and reviewing and revising. Welcome to the wonderful world of construction!
What you don't see in every pretty design image are the hours and hours of work behind the scenes required to get to that point. While the behind the scenes work is enjoyable, it's not really photogenic. Site research, colour review, planning, CAD drawings, supplier research, project management, problem solving... nothing to photograph here!
The image on the top left is a project I am consulting on with the exterior colours. It has ended up requiring a large amount of remediation work, so I don't think we will be seeing the colours until next year. The image on the top right is a project I have done the exterior colour consulting on, as well as the internal colours and materials specifications, along with the lighting and landscaping. We are approximately halfway through the project (at the awkward stage), and looking forward to the home stretch. Hoping to photograph and share those images soon!
