Hello!Practical design with clear thinking
Donna Vercoe Design creates interiors that are thoughtfully designed, well-resolved, and ready to be delivered.
With a background in drafting within engineering environments, Donna brings a structured and analytical approach to interior design. Her work focuses on resolving layouts, materials, and key decisions early, so projects can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Many clients engage Donna at the early stages of a project, before design decisions have been fully resolved and the direction is still taking shape. She brings structure to the process, aligning design intent with real-world constraints and creating a clear, coordinated foundation for the project. This allows builders and trades to price and deliver with confidence, while reducing the risk of changes, delays, and unnecessary cost during construction.
About Donna
Donna’s career began in drafting roles within engineering firms before moving into swimming pool design, where she managed design flow and worked closely with architects, builders, and regulatory authorities.
This experience developed her ability to balance design intent with practical delivery — understanding how ideas translate into built outcomes and how to navigate the process from concept through to construction.
Today, Donna works with clients to bring clarity to their projects, refining layouts, selecting materials, and developing design solutions that improve how spaces function and feel. Her calm and structured approach helps bring projects into focus, allowing them to progress smoothly while ensuring the final outcome reflects the client’s needs and personality.
Clients often describe Donna as thoughtful, easy to work with, and attentive to the details that make a space truly successful.
Based in Sydney, Donna works across residential, education, and shared environments.
Beyond the studio
Outside of her design work, Donna enjoys photography, baking, and sewing — hands-on, creative pursuits that naturally inform her appreciation for colour, texture, and detail.
She is also actively involved in her local community garden, where she contributes as a committee member, managing the social media account and coordinating the newsletter.
She is drawn to spaces that feel lived-in and considered, an approach that carries through both her personal and professional work.
