An on-site Design Consultation helps you explore the possibilities for one room or a clearly defined project area. Together, we’ll consider how you use the space, discuss the changes you have in mind and identify a practical direction before you commit to purchases or engage trades.
Whether you’re planning a renovation, improving storage or making your existing layout work better, you’re welcome to start with a smaller, focused project.

Understanding what will work
An idea may look appealing in an inspiration image, but its success depends on the space around it.
An island needs enough room for comfortable movement. Dining seating needs to work alongside adjoining furniture. Additional storage needs to be accessible and useful.
I bring practical design judgment and technical drafting experience to these questions, helping you understand the possibilities and compromises so you can make informed decisions.
We’ll also discuss your budget priorities and identify where further investigation, design work or trade pricing may be needed.
What's included:
An agreed focus: review of your project information and priorities before the visit.
Up to two hours on site: a walkthrough and discussion of your space, needs and ideas.
A concept floor plan: illustrating the proposed layout direction for the agreed project area.
A written summary: recording the key recommendations, priorities and suggested next steps.
The package allows up to four hours in total, including preparation, the site visit and the follow-up plan and summary. The scope is confirmed before booking so the work can be focused on your main priorities.
A practical reference for your next steps
Following our meeting, I’ll prepare your concept floor plan and written summary.
These give you a reference to return to as you consider your options, discuss the project with others and decide how to proceed. Where relevant, the summary will suggest an order for improvements, helping you plan work in manageable stages.
The consultation is a standalone service. You can use it to establish your direction, or as the starting point for further work together.
If your project needs more
Some projects need further layout exploration, material and product selection, detailed joinery drawings or documentation before they can move ahead.
Design development, specifications, visualisations, procurement and project coordination can be arranged separately. If further work would be helpful, I’ll explain the recommended next stage and provide a fee proposal for your approval.
The consultation plan communicates the initial design direction. Detailed drawings and specifications for pricing, manufacture or construction are a separate stage.
Investment:
From $660 including GST ($600 + $60 GST)
Includes the agreed consultation scope, on-site visit, concept floor plan and written summary.
A $275 booking deposit, including GST ($250 + $25 GST), forms part of the total consultation fee.
If your enquiry requires a broader scope, I’ll confirm the proposed fee before you book. Any additional work will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.
